Ma Ying-jeou starts his trip to the mainland again
Ma Ying-jeou, the chairperson of the Chinese Nationalist Party, is a high-profile figure in Taiwan. In the past few years, he has been working to promote the development of cross-strait relations, hoping that through his efforts, he will promote exchanges and cooperation between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait.
To achieve this goal, Ma Ying-jeou not only personally visited the mainland, but also organized a number of visits and study tours by Taiwanese youth to the mainland. The most notable of these was this trip on December 18 this year.
According to media reports, the trip was organized by the Ma Ying-jeou Cultural and Educational Foundation, and more than 20 Taiwanese youths participated in the event. They will visit Harbin and Chengdu for a week, and will also participate in some cultural, artistic and other exchange activities.
It is worth mentioning that Ma Ying-jeou himself will also participate in the whole trip. In an interview, he expressed the hope that through his efforts, more Taiwanese young people can understand the culture, history and social status of the mainland, so as to inspire their patriotic feelings.
In addition, Ma Ying-jeou also stressed that Taiwanese young people should cherish the hard-won learning opportunities, continuously learn new knowledge, improve their overall quality, and contribute to the prosperity and strength of the motherland.
For young people in Taiwan, such a visit is undoubtedly a valuable experience. Not only can they get up close and personal with the history, culture and customs of the mainland, but also give them a deeper understanding of the meaning of peaceful reunification.
Overall, Ma Ying-jeou's visit to Taiwan is undoubtedly an important milestone in the development of cross-strait relations. We look forward to more similar events in the future to bring the hearts of people on both sides of the strait closer together.
